Dear GA Families

A fantastic opportunity is available for your child to attend an Animal Experience Science Weekend.

As part of the Find your Future programme, GROWS alongside the Hartpury College, the Royal

Agricultural University and Cirencester College is offering a fantastic opportunity for students in Year 9 to gain ‘hands on’ experience of animal science.  Ideal for Year 9 students with enthusiasm and an

interest in pursuing an animal science-based subject as a career.  This experience will provide

opportunities to engage, explore and get ‘hands on’ with key areas in this field, visit 3 campuses to

meet animal experts, enjoy activities including animal husbandry sessions with small furries and

reptiles, an owl pellet workshop, agricultural activity on the farm and a dive into equine

neuroscience!

 

The dates and times are as follows:

3rd December 2022   10.00am – 3.00pm at the Royal Agricultural University and Cirencester College

4th December 2022   10.00am – 3.00pm at Hartpury College

Students can also use the computers and chromebooks at school to complete online forms if they

wish, this can be facilitated at lunchtime in their homework club.
