Dear Parents and Carers

I am writing to inform you that Mr Heap has accepted a position as Assistant Director for the Greenshaw Learning Trust, starting in September 2022.  This is an exciting opportunity for Mr Heap with fresh new challenges.

Naturally we are disappointed to see Mr Heap leave, but we appreciate all the work he has contributed to the school.  Under the leadership of Mr Heap, and with the support of school staff and the wider Trust, Gloucester Academy has made major strides on its improvement journey to become the school of choice for the local community.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Heap for the tireless energy and commitment that it has taken to achieve these outcomes and I would also like to thank you for supporting him in these endeavours.

The Governing Body and Board of Trustees have started the process of recruiting a new Headteacher who will have the drive, determination and ambition to continue improving Gloucester Academy.
