Dear GA Family 

We are delighted to invite you to the Class of 2022 Raising Attainment evening on Wednesday 6th October 2021 at 6.15pm Year 11 is, quite possibly, the most important year in a student’s education.  It is the culmination of many years of hard work and their exam results mark the start of the next stage of their journey: to the very best universities and professions.  We will be working closely with you to ensure that you feel truly supported in this final stage and that your child is able to take advantage of all the opportunities that are available to them. 

The Raising Attainment evening will focus on how we can all support your child to have a successful year ahead.  We will be sharing with you how our students learn in the classroom and how they can extend this learning at home where possible.  There will be an opportunity to hear what your child will be studying in Maths, English and Science and how the structured revision programme helps our students commit to memory the material they will need as they progress through the two years. We will also be discussing our Period 6 approach and the huge benefits of joining our Elite Training sessions.

We will explain the assessment process and outline how we will be sharing your childrens' progress with you.  We will also be discussing our communication strategy so you can be confident on how to contact us at any time you feel you need to.  

Finally, we will be celebrating the enrichment that we are offering at Gloucester Academy and how your children can get involved.  Due to the length of the meeting we will have a limited time to take questions.  If you would like to talk to someone after the event we will ensure you can book a meeting with your Achievement Lead Mr Parrott or Mrs Pearce who is overseeing outcomes for our Class of 2022.
