Dear GA Families

At Gloucester Academy we are passionate about contributing to charities and supporting those less fortunate than us.  Children in Need occurs on Friday 18th November 2022, and to show our support for this charity we are allowing students to wear ‘Crazy Socks’ to school on Friday 18th November 2022.

A donation of £1 will be payable at the front gate on arrival to school from 8am.  This donation will allow for your child to wear their crazy socks on Friday 18th November 2022.  All money raised will be given to the Children in Need 2022 charity.  This donation is completely optional, your child is not expected to pay £1 if they choose not to. 

Children in Need makes sure that every child has the childhood they deserve and the support they need to thrive.  The charity is committed to funding the grassroots organisations and project workers across the UK that provide the vital positive relationships children need to help them navigate the challenges in their lives.  The project workers support, inspire and champion young people to ensure they have opportunities and can reach their goals.  Children in Need funds thousands of charities and projects in every corner of the UK, that support children and young people to feel and be safer, have improved mental health and wellbeing, form better, more positive relationships and be given more equal opportunities to flourish.

Your child's support on Friday 18^th November 2022 means that the charity can be there for children and young people right across the UK, helping them to be the best they can be.
