I have been a teacher for over 25 years.  I am a Deputy Head at an independent school near Cirencester. I was educated at a comprehensive school in Bristol and have worked in schools in the independent and maintained sector. I am keen to build bridges between schools in the independent and maintained sectors as I believe they have more in common than what makes them different.

In addition to my work in schools, I have worked as a lead assessment writer and principal examiner.  I have written and been responsible for papers at both GCSE and A Level. I also work for Ofqual on a consultancy basis as an external expert.

Having two daughters of junior school age, I am very aware of a parent’s perspective to schooling and the need for partnership.  I value wellbeing so make sure we have family time and I look after myself by keeping fit and finding time to enjoy hobbies.

I am a qualified accountant and partner in a local accountancy practice. I have lived in Brockworth for 20 years and now want to give something back to the community which has served myself and my family well. I have a daughter currently at Henley Bank High School and another who left last year. I have witnessed significant change at the school and am looking to use my finance and communication skills as well as my parental knowledge to help the schools in their journeys of continual improvement.
