Dear GA Families

Thanks to your support, all of our families have had an enjoyable start to the new academic year.  It has been amazing to see our students working so hard in lessons, and making ‘every second count’ of their learning at Gloucester Academy.

In order to enhance our impact on student learning, I would like to give you a reminder that we have a scheduled Teacher Training (INSET) day on Friday 22^nd October 2021.  This will mean staff will continue to attend Gloucester Academy as normal on this date, but students, in year 7 to 10 should not attend.

Year 11 students are still expected to attend as normal.

The staff training day will involve teachers creating and improving student booklets to improve our Teaching & Learning provision at Gloucester Academy.  This approach is an exciting development of our teaching provision within the school and involves students learning and completing their work within an all-encompassing booklet.
