Enrichment at Gloucester Academy

At Gloucester Academy, enrichment is a central part of our ethos.

It offers students the opportunity to explore new interests, develop essential skills, and prepare for success both within school and in their future lives. Our dedicated staff are committed to delivering a high-quality enrichment programme that is broad, inclusive, and designed to ensure every student can find an activity that inspires them. Each year group has a designated enrichment time, with additional opportunities available beyond these sessions to encourage wider participation.

The Enrichment offer at Gloucester Academy is categorised into Sport and Physical Activity, Civic Engagement, Arts and Culture and Outdoor Adventure, these are then organised into four strands: Academies, Clubs, Societies and Scholars.

Whether students are pursuing elite training in sport, expressing themselves through music and drama, or developing leadership and teamwork skills, there's something for everyone.

Beyond the scheduled sessions, students can also take part in additional activities that broaden their experiences even further.

Our goal is to make enrichment a defining part of the Gloucester Academy experience, something students look forward to each week and carry with them long after they leave. By removing barriers and embedding enrichment into school life, we ensure all students can benefit from experiences that build confidence, curiosity, and resilience.

“We want every student to leave Gloucester Academy not just with excellent results, but with a personal story full of inspiration, growth, and opportunity.”
