Plans for Year 10 students after half term
11th February 2021
Dear Parents and Carers
Thank you so much for your support this half term we have achieved so much through these challenging times.
This week alone our Year 10’s have
- Taken part in vocational week
- Received incredible one to one subject specific support
- Had personalised timetables
- Have made superb progress toward their Year 11 final results
During the holidays
Year 10 will be expected to continue with any work they have not yet completed from this week's live lessons. They will be able to access this work using google classroom.
From the 22nd February 2021
After half term students will continue accessing their work online until we hear otherwise.
To ensure our students have no gaps in their knowledge we will be setting home learning using a slot called Period 6 on the google classroom. In this time, students will be set structured, independent, work to complete and to submit to their teachers from 3.00pm of the same day. Work set in period 6 will follow this timetable:

Assessments
Engagement in all lessons online will ensure students are prepared for assessments that will either be online or in classrooms depending whether or not children are back at school.
Additional support
Through previous assessments we have been able to identify where additional support is needed to ensure all of our students can climb their own personal mountain to the very best universities or Professions. We will be contacting parents and students after the holidays to let them know if a mentor has been assigned to them to support their child’s next steps.
We are grateful for your ongoing support, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Yours faithfully
Mrs V Pearce
